A screened porch is the cheaper conversion and it is genuinely pleasant in spring and autumn. A sunroom with real windows and insulation costs more and gives you the room in August and January too. The decision usually comes down to how you want to use it and whether the existing roof and slab can carry the heavier build. We look at both and price both.
Not every conversion starts with a porch. A bare concrete slab under an existing roof, or a covered brick patio, is often the better starting point because the footprint and drainage are already sorted. Our photos show that whole sequence: the prepared slab, the framing and house wrap going up, the new windows in, and the finished room with furniture in it.
