Finishes
Paint fails at the prep, not at the paint. Chalky siding, glossy trim that was never scuffed, and caulk lines nobody cut out will show through the best product on the shelf. Geaux 2 Guy paints inside and outside across the Columbia area, with the surfaces prepared first and the room protected while we work. Cabinet painting is part of it, and estimates are free.

Columbia sits in a humid subtropical climate with long, hot, wet summers and hard afternoon storms. Wood siding and trim on the south and west sides take the worst of it, which is why the paint there fails years before the shaded elevations. Pollen season coats everything in spring. Exterior work has to be washed, dried, primed where bare, and caulked at every joint, or the coating lifts in the first full summer.
Inside, the two jobs that change a house most for the money are ceilings and cabinets. A cut-in ceiling makes a room read clean. Painting existing kitchen cabinets gets you most of the look of a new kitchen for a fraction of the cost. Degrease, sand, finish. It is worth knowing before you replace boxes that are still solid.
